As I posted before, my daughter is in the AG Fashion show here in town. She has selected her outfit and will be wearing---drumroll please---
the new Bitty Baby purple holiday gown!
It is so pretty. She is very excited!
Well--when we went to the fitting we were told more about the requirement for fundraising to be in the show. She is required to raise $100. This money goes into the community through the Junior League of Indianapolis. They are women raising money for women. Anyway, I'm looking for a really creative way to have my daughter raise the money. She is quite happy to do things for others, and loves to do crafty type things.
I hope to get the money with lots of small "donations" or purchases.
Please email with any ideas...or if you just want to donate to make her dreams come true...she can't wait to walk down the runway--she has done commercials, but nothing live on the runway before!
EDITED --- to say that there is a prize given to the girl who has the most creative way to raise the money--HELP me out here!
Thanks---I know I'll hear of something GREAT!! Mrs. C--I'm counting on you to have a really creative idea...no pressure... :0P

I wonder if all the fashion shows do this. I signed my daughter up for one in November and they are calling people at the end of the month. She's excited but I told her we'll see how it goes. A lot of girls applied.

I'm not sure if they all do it this way. It may depend on the facility or group who is running the show. This show is put on by the Junior League which is a philanthropic group, so maybe it is related to the group putting it on, not the AG side of the equation. All of the donations are tax deductible, and if we make something the raw materials will ne donated by us, so the entire amount is a donation. For our shows the tickets to attend are $37.50 of which 24.50 is tax deductible--and even the girl has to pay...they do get to eat with us, so there is a benefit.

Ours is for the Hands on House. I can't wait till they start calling. DD would love to do this. She's modeled raincoats before and it's nice to see her on the internet catalog. We also have a smaller catalog and will be great to keep for when she's older.
Good luck and let us know how the fashion show turns out. I will brainstorm some ideas this week.
